Just kidding (kind of). The costumes were great and this was the first time we got to see everyone perform in a group since there was no group auditions during Hollywood Week. The group numbers are always strangely fascinating. No one really shined and Moon River got to get some excited snaps in so all is well.

Theme: Love Songs Night
Why: Elliott Yamin is my favorite American Idol ever! I have seen him perform this song live and he is just as amazing live (if not more so) as he was on the show. To pick one Elliott song was almost too hard, but this little diddy became the song that defined Elliott’s experience on American Idol and so I have chosen it as my number one Idol performance of all time!

Theme: Bon Jovi Night
Why: Season 6 was not the best Idol season but the “contemporary rebel” certainly made things interesting. I was on my feet and applauding at the television after this performance. Absolutely incredible! Not the best vocals ever, but certainly one of the best performances ever seen on the show! I watch Idol for moments like this! Brilliant!

Theme: Barry Manilow Night
Why: One of the Divas Three. Unfortunately, she got eliminated after this performance. JHud is just incredible in this performance and sings the hell out of it! I mean, literally, she could probably knock people over with the sound waves emitted as she sings. Although she was eliminated way too early in the season, she went on to deliver an amazing Oscar-worthy performance in “Dreamgirls”.
