JRamp’s 3rd Idol Performance of All Time: Jennifer Hudson “Weekend In New England”

Theme: Barry Manilow Night
Why: One of the Divas Three. Unfortunately, she got eliminated after this performance. JHud is just incredible in this performance and sings the hell out of it! I mean, literally, she could probably knock people over with the sound waves emitted as she sings. Although she was eliminated way too early in the season, she went on to deliver an amazing Oscar-worthy performance in “Dreamgirls”.

JRamp’s 5th Idol Performance of All Time: Fantasia Barrino “Summertime”

When: Season 3
Theme: Movie Song Night
Why: With this performance, it was clear Fantasia was going to be our next American Idol. Love her or hate her, this was the most talked about performance of Season 3. I find it hysterical that even in this beautiful Gershwin tune, Fantasia managed to work in her trademark “yeah yeah yeah”s!
